The IV Workshop on Innovation and Educational Technologies (JITE), organised by the UNED Computer Science School, will be held on wednesday, May 16 at the Faculty of Education (calle Juan del Rosal, 14, Madrid) of this institution. The event, which proposes a joint review of both methodological proposals and the digital support of educational technologies, is free of charge, from 10.15 a.m. to 17.30 p.m.

The eMadrid network will hold its VIII Workshops on July 2-3, 2018Experts from academia and the business world will share with the audience the latest researchs in the development of Technology Enhanced Learning, during two days focused on «Cyberlearning». The meeting will be at Puerta de Toledo Campus of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), the institution that runs this project, in collaboration with the UAM, the UCM, the UPM, the UNED and the URJC.

eMadrid Excellence Network special session on multi-learning experiences at EDUCON 2018

eMadrid Excellence Network took part in EDUCON once again, a congress hold this year between 17 and 20 of April in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands), focused on the latest trends and challenges in the field of engineering education. Specifically, eMadrid team has participated in a special session on the 19th, with several presentations related to the «multi-learning» experiences of this group, that put together researchers from UC3M, UAM, UCM, UPM, UNED and URJC.

The SHEILA Project will discuss at a conference how to integrate learning analytics into higher education


To assist european universities to become more mature users and custodians of digital data about their students as they learn online, the SHEILA Project is developing a policy framework that promotes formative assessment and personalized learning. This project is using innovative strategies to disseminate and translate the outputs, and to set up a long term learning analytics policy agenda and community among higher education institutions across Europe.

Conference about innovative experiences on technology and autism, at URJC


The Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) celebrates a «Conference on Technology and Autism» on november 13 with the aim of disseminating some of the innovative experiences carried out as the result of the collaboration between these two areas. Manuel Castro, UNED researcher and eMadrid member, receives the Nikola Tesla Chain

Manuel Castro, full professor at UNED (National Distance Education University) and member of the research team of eMadrid project, has received the Nikola Tesla Chain, the highest award of the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy (IGIP ), a prize that recognizes professor Castro's international achievements in both fields. The award was presented at the International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning (ICL), that took place in Budapest (Hungary) last september.

HP and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos inaugurate a classroom dedicated to training and innovation in virtual reality and augmented reality

The Rey Juan Carlos University and the company HP in collaboration with SPika Tech have signed an agreement for the creation of an HP virtual real classroom where future professionals specialized in virtual reality and augmented reality will be formed in the campus of Móstoles (Madrid) .

This initiative will make it possible to complete the practical training of the students of the URJC, in particular those who study in the field of engineering, experimental sciences, computer science and communication technologies..
