MOOC to Experiment with Electronic Circuits
A MOOC (Massive Online Open Course), will start next May 1 on the UNED COMA platform. This course has been created by members of the UNED in eMadrid. Under the title "Basis of Electronics Circuits and practice", this MOOC consists of eight modules and will last five months. The only condition to follow the course is a free registration in the UNED COMA platform.
The course offers an open and free access to information and knowledge of basic electronic circuit design, components and real circuits. The course design has taken into account the (for cost, complexity of management and other factors) difficult access to a laboratory with the necessary equipment to analyze and evaluate the behavior of circuits and real electrical and electronic components.
It is well known that experimentation enables empirical testing of the laws that govern the electrical behavior of the components and circuits, allowing to reproduce characteristic effects, to analyze ideal modeling constraints, etc., which promotes the reinforcement of learning. For this reason, the course is especially based in the perform of practical work in remote laboratory platform called Virtual Instrument Systems in Reality (VISIR) and housed in the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Control (DIEEC) of the School of Industrial Engineers (ETSII) of the UNED.
