The technological and pedagogical 2020 horizon for education
Online conversation moderated by Antonio Rodriguez de las Heras (University Carlos III of Madrid) with the participation of Alejandro Piscitelli (University of Buenos Aires), Mario Tascón (Prodigioso Volcán SL) and Dolors Reig (freelance).
The University Carlos III of Madrid Master in eLearning Production and Management organizes an online event on "The technological and pedagogical 2020 horizon for education". The event will be moderated by Professor Antonio Rodríguez de las Heras (@ardelash), director of the Institute for Culture and Technology at the University Carlos III of Madrid and eMadrid network member, and will involve three personalities with great impact on social networks:
- Alejandro Piscitelli (@piscitelli), Argentine philosopher specializing in new media, serves as professor of data processing workshop, telematics and informatics; co-editor of the online journal Interlink Headline News (ILHN).
- Mario Tascón (@mtascon), first director and promoter of elmundo.es, and later CEO of digital area of the Prisa group, where is located the educational publisher Santillana; currently managing partner of Prodigioso Volcán SL.
- Dolors Reig (@dreig), a regular speaker in international conferences about social media, education 2.0, social innovation, promotion of social networks and communities, Web trends, cyberculture, social psychology and networks.

The speakers will discuss the future of education from the technological and pedagogical points of view taking 2020 as the horizon. Education is being deeply transformed by Internet. Proof of this are the MOOCs (massive online open courses) that have appeared, defining a panorama of great expectations, but also uncertainty about how education will be in the near future.
