Gregorio Robles and Jesus M. González Barahona, from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, and members of the eMadrid network have been awarded with the second best paper award from among the 28 papers that have been presented at the VI ADA Madrid Educational Innovation Symposium. The paper, entitled "On the commitment of time of a social teacher" discusses the time that a teacher has to devote to teaching when following tasks have to be maintained: web platform, continuous assessment, on-line tutoring and social activities.
The authores advocate for the use of new teaching methods (for example, co-evaluation) and use of tools and technologies (e.g., "learning analytics") to carry out this type of education without imposing an enormous effort to teachers.
ADA Madrid is an education project involving six universities in the Community of Madrid. The subjects that are part of the ADA Madrid Project are part of on-line education or virtual learning. In this sense, the aim of the project is to guide the development of the subjects taking into account the advantages of distance education and new information technologies and communication. |
