Jorge Fernández (URJC) and Sergio Martín (UNED), winners of the eMadrid 2011 Awards

Last Wednesday June 1st, 2011, during the II eMadrid Workshop held at the Psichology Faculty-UNED (Madrid), the eMadrid 2011 Awards were delivered. The winner of the ATOS-Origin award for best doctoral thesis was to Sergio Martin (UNED), and Jorge Fernández (URJC) was awarded in duplicate, to receive the MadridOnRails prize for best work or free software development related to education and the ATOS-Origin Award for best final degree project . Awards were delivered by Rafael San Miguel, CEO of Madrid On Rails, ando Lydia Montagon, Area Manager of Atos Origin. Winners presented their work on the second day of the event, June 2.

Honorable mentions:

  • Alberto Corrales (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid)
  • Alejandro García Núñez (Universitat Pompeu Fabra)

For the best doctoral thesis

Winner:

Honorable mention:

  • Olga Santos (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia)

For the best final degree project:

Winner:

  • Jorge Fernández (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos)

Honorable mentions:
