Summary
The speech will summarize the current situation concerning innovation and standardization in Learning, Education and Training: Many new concepts and standards are evolving and published during the last months leading to a confusing and uncertain situation. The presentation will try to provide a guideline through the unclear landscape and highlight the major and most important outcomes and instruments. Finally future prospects will be given on the trends in learning innovation and standardization.

Author Biography
Christian M. Stracke
Christian M. Stracke is Assistant Professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE), Institute for Computer Science and Business Information Systems and Adjunct Professor at the Korea National Open University (KNOU) in Seoul. He has studied Educational Sciences and is working his whole research and business life in the fields of technology enhanced learning combining pedagogical, technical, and economical expertise. He studied Educational Sciences (M.A.) at the University of Bonn and he is currently writing his PhD thesis about the implementation and the benefits of continuous quality development and standardisation for E-Learning at the University of Duisburg-Essen. His main research interests and activities are quality and standards in e-learning; quality management and competencies in education and HR; development cooperation; international and intercultural e-learning and capacity building; convergence of knowledge management and e-learning; strategies, change management, and controlling for learning processes.
