Teachers Rosario Gil, Manuel Castro, Gabriel Diaz, Elio San Cristobal and Sergio Martin, from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) and eMadrid network members, were awarded last May with the prize for best article in the FINTDI 2011 Congress (Fomento e Innovación con Nuevas Tecnologías en la Docencia de la Ingeniería) for the text entitled "Verification System for Fngerprint Tests in Moodle".

This paper describes the integration of a biometric system of fingerprint recognition in educational platforms, specifying the popular Moodle. The object of this work is to increase security in distace tests.
